D-term Uplifted Racetrack Inflation

چکیده

It is shown that racetrack inflation can be implemented in a moduli stabilisation scenario with a supersymmetric uplifting D-term. The resulting model is completely described by an effective supergravity theory, in contrast to the original racetrack models. We study the inflationary dynamics and show that the gaugino condensates vary during inflation. The resulting spectral index is ns ≈ 0.95 as in the original racetrack inflation model. Hence extra fields do not appear to alter the predictions of the model. An equivalent, simplified model with just a single field is presented.

Inflation in uplifted Supergravities

We present a model of slow-roll inflation in the context of effective Supergravities arising from string theories. The uplifting of the potential (to generate dS or Minkowski vacua) is provided by the D-term associated to an anomalous U(1), in a fully consistent and gauge invariant formulation. We develop a minimal working model which incorporates eternal topological inflation and complies with...

Inflation on an Open Racetrack

We present a variant of warped D-brane inflation by incorporating multiple sets of holomorphically embedded D7-branes involved in moduli stabilization with extent into a warped throat. The resultant D3-brane motion depends on the D7-brane configuration and the relative position of the D3-brane in these backgrounds. The non-perturbative moduli stabilization superpotential takes the racetrack for...

An Effect of α′ Corrections on Racetrack Inflation

We study the effects of α corrections to the Kähler potential on volume stabilisation and racetrack inflation. In a region where classical supergravity analysis is justified, quantum corrections can nevertheless be relevant for correctly analyzing moduli stabilisation and the onset of inflation.

Racetrack inflation and assisted moduli stabilisation

We present a model of inflation based on a racetrack model without flux stabilization. The initial conditions are set automatically through topological inflation. This ensures that the dilaton is not swept to weak coupling through either thermal effects or fast roll. Including the effect of non-dilaton fields we find that moduli provide natural candidates for the inflaton. The resulting potenti...

Inflation from String Theory

I review some aspects of obtaining inflation from string theory, in particular braneantibrane inflation within the framework of KKLMMT, and racetrack inflation. Further, I discuss recent work on the problem of reheating after brane-antibrane annihilation, and possible distinctive features of production of cosmic string and brane defects at this time.
